New lawsuit escalates conflicts between Huawei and Samsung
Technology giant Samsung Electronics has sued its Chinese rival Huawei Technologies for patent infringements in Beijing.Samsung said in a statement on Friday that Huawei's smartphones and tablets infringed on its patents for mobile communications technology, data storage for images and other media, China Daily reported, citing South Korean media.The South Korean telecom multinationals also accused Huawei of filing "irrational" patent suits against it and claimed compensation up to 80.5 million yuan ($12 million).
