As it stated in Chinese smartphone maker Huawei is hoping to crack into the U.S. market by working with Dallas-based AT&T, according to reports by The Information and Fortune. Huawei, which has a U.S. headquarters in Plano, is the world's third largest smartphone maker, after Samsung and Apple. Last year, Huawei made up nearly 10 percent of the global smartphone market. Richard Yu, who leads Huawei's consumer electronics unit, told Fortune that the Chinese smartphone maker would like to surpass Apple's sales -- and its market share of 15 percent -- in 2018. In the U.S., Huawei accounts for less than .04 percent of the market, Fortune said.
