Huawei is back at the top of its game, at least when it comes to the Chinese market. Huawei is planning to increase investments in its offline channels this year, so expect it to continue to be at the top of the Chinese market. For the first quarter of 2017, it has regained the top spot in its native country, moving past one of its many arch-rivals, Oppo. There were 114 million smartphones shipped to China by March 31, 2017 and more than half of that came from the top three brands. Third-placed Vivo had a 15% market share with 17 million units.
