The Huawei Watch 2, which was released in April, launched with android Wear 2.0 already installed. Owners of Huawei's original watch can now update their device to run Android Wear 2.0. Android Wear 2.0 optimizes the OS for a circular display with the ability to type directly on a built-in keyboard and to use third-party watch faces. The update should be available through the watch's settings, but if it's not, the watch can be manually flashed. The update is being rolled out to both the developer preview and the stable channel of the two-year-old smartwatch, according to Reddit reports and AndroidCentral.

The new 2.0 watches leave quite a bit to be desired, and the update has been slow to reach some of the most popular devices.
