Huawei reportedly claims to have surpassed Apple in terms of global sales volume. According to numbers revealed by the company, Huawei accounted for 13.2 percent of the handset market share globally in December 2016. On the other hand, Apple, its only close competitor that time owned around 12 percent of the global market. Though Samsung leads the global market in volumes, Huawei has overtaken the Korean technology major in some markets, Wang said.
