A new contender in this market is Huawei, 1 of the world's biggest suppliers of networking infrastructure equipment. It got up on stage at CES 2018 to detect its humble offering, a hybrid 5G-powerline Wi-Fi system called the Huawei smartphone WiFi Q2. It pairs base units and satellite repeaters which plug into an ordinary wall outlet. Huawei has announced a brand new mesh WiFi system called the Q2. Huawei Q2 is a WiFi Mesh Network System which Works with Powerline Networking too for Connecting Wireless Nodes Together. If today's announcement from Huawei smartphone is anything to go with then it's safe to say which WiFi mesh networking definitely is the way forward. The Huawei smartphone Q2 is a different take on the mesh WiFi network however. One is the hybrid model which combines wireless mesh networking and Powerline together while the other 1 going to feature only Powerline connectivity among wireless nodes.

To set up a wifi sytem for one's home could usualy take up 15-20 minutes of your time. "The Huawei smartphone WiFi Q2 Series is easy to set up, and automatically connects users to the fastest hotspot and frequency to ensure a strong and reliable signal throughout the entire house," says Huawei. A 3-base system going to sell for $349, while a 1-base system with 2 satellites going to sell for $219, says Huawei.

At CES 2018, Huawei smartphone announced its new home network/router solution, the WiFi Q2. Although similar to other products on the market, like Google's or Netgear's offerings, the WiFi Q2 differs slightly in which it's "the world's first" hybrid system for blanketing your home in wireless signal. Combining a "unique G.hn" 1Gbps powerline connection (PLC) with a mesh system (1,867Mbps backhaul and load balance support), Huawei smartphone is hoping to lower the amount of dead areas in your coverage. Using 802.11v, the WiFi Q2 going to support seamless roaming and fast switching (100ms). For IoT users, you'll get a dedicated channel on the Q2 just for your connected devices.
