A new report from Russia suggests that the Honor V9 as it's branded in China will be rebranded as the Honor 8 Pro for the US market, bringing flagship specs to the sub-brand. Are you excited to see what Huawei has in the pipeline for its Honor sub-brand? That's a pretty big spec jump compared to the Honor 8, which released last year. This is similar to what we've seen other Chinese manufacturers do with their budget devices, like ZTE with its Axon 7 range. No pricing or release information has been revealed in the leak, but the rumor does suggest we'll see the phone released in late March.
Huawei Honor 8 to get EMUI 5.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat tomorrow
As earlier revealed at the Japanese roll out, Huawei is all set to release the latest Android 7.0 Nougat and EMUI 5.0 Nougat Update for its Honor 8 smartphone. Earlier in January while launching the same in Japan, Huawei announced that the nougat update for the Honor 8 smartphone will be rolled out in February 2017. 19,999 ($299), Honor 8 Smart runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow running the EMUI 4.1 skin on top. Like Huawei P9, Honor 8 is also enriched with a dual-camera set-p, each with the 12-mp shooter. Moreover, Honor 8 Smart will be available in three colour variants like Black, White, and Gold.
